Why should you choose me?

Blurb I wrote while chatting with Emma

I have an intrinsic motivation. It’s my outlook towards life. I want to accomplish things. Make a difference in the short time we have. When you look at a calendar, you realize that we’ve taken up a quarter of it and I would want to spend it doing something I love.

Intelligence is a difficult thing to measure. Everything I do is a reflection of who I am and even if my GPA says that I shouldn’t be here it’s my capability to start things and go end to end on any project. “Fear is the mind killer” and I’ve learned to fail, I’ve learned to succeed, and I know I can pick myself up during any project and accomplish it.

I’m not sure what kind of engineer I am. I am sure that I am an engineer. I have the mindset. I noticed that can’t multiple 6x7 but I can multiply 7x6. Let me explain. I can do both but 6x7 feels more natural and whenever I’ve done math I’ve always switched the numbers around 7x6 to 6x7. Reduce the problem to one I’ve already solved.

I want to see myself as duct tape or a Swiss Army knife. I can dev to prod and do everything in between. I can deploy my product and make sure that it can scale. It has every feature I can think of. I can even try to create the hardware part. Let’s make it IoT.

That’s really what I want. I want to be able to make stuff.
